Holy Synod Decrees, May 2015
The Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, chaired by the Patriarch of Alexandria, is the highest authority in the Church. It meets on a regular basis to formulate the rules and regulations regarding matters of the church's organisation and faith. It consists of metropolitan archbishops, metropolitan bishops, diocesan bishops along with the other bishops.
IS execute 30 Ethiopian Christians in Lybia
Islamic State have release a video showing masked men muder Ethiopian Christians in Libya. The footage bears similarities to an earlier one showing the beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians. This new video shows two separate mass killings, one the beheading of around 15 men and the other a similar number of men were shot in the head.

His Holiness Pope Tawaros II of Alexandria of the Coptic Orthodox Church revived His Holiness Ignatius Aphrem II – Patriarch of Antioch and All East of the Syriac Orthodox Church His Holiness Aram I – Catholicose of Cilicia of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Lebanon.
The New Martyrs of Libya
Pope Tawadros II of the Coptic Orthodox Church has recognized the 21 men martyred in Libya as saints. His Holiness Pope Tawadros II announced the inclusion of the 21 Coptic New Martyrs of Libya in the Synaxarium of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
ISIS Murder 21 Copts in Lybia
Our hearts go out to the families of the 21 Coptic Christians who were murdered in Libya by ISIS on 15th of February 2015. Their courage and strength will not be forgotten. ISIS released that video to scare us Copts and Christians away from our faith, but little do they know that it is because of martyrs that our church and faith is strengthened.
